New Clothing Items - Currently not accepting clothing
Donating clothes to Ernestine’s helps ensure that families facing financial hardships have access to essential items such as shirts, pants, jackets, and shoes. Please note that Ernestine’s only accepts donations of new/unused clothing and undergarments, boots, shoes and toys. We do not accept donations of used clothing, shoes, or stuffed toys.
While we are no longer able to accept donations of used clothing or furniture, we truly appreciate your kindness and thoughtfulness in considering our shelter—your support means so much to us.
Food
Making food donations to Ernestine’s is a compassionate and practical way to address food insecurity, reduce food waste, and build stronger, more resilient communities. Please contact us if you are able and willing to donate much-needed non-perishable food items to Ernestine’s Women’s Shelter. To make a food-bank donation to Ernestine’s, please email the full details of your donation to engagement@ernestines.ca, to arrange a drop-off. Thank you!

Toiletries
Toiletries contribute to maintaining health, dignity, and a sense of self-worth. Access to toiletries is a basic necessity that often goes unnoticed by those who have the privilege of readily available personal care items. Donating to Ernestine’s helps provide these necessities to those who might not have the means to purchase them.
