Ernestine's Women's Shelter creates programs to reduce the severe, lasting impact of violence and offers short-term crisis intervention as well as the long-term support services needed to safely leave abusive situations.

Ernestine's trained staff members work with women and children to support their independence and assist them to make informed choices for their futures.

From April 2004 until March 2005, 77 women and 42 children stayed at Ernestine's Women's Shelter.
