Outreach
The outreach program provides support to women and children re-establishing themselves in the community. Ernestine's staff maintains on-going contact with former clients, providing resources and support as well as planning special celebrations and summer outings.
The outreach program is also responsible for distributing food and other donations to former clients.
An important part of the outreach program is the distribution of community “start-up” kits that assist women with re-establishing their households in the community. Ernestine's also operates a clothing bank supplied by Windfall and a food bank in partnership with North York Harvest Food Bank.
This program also offers various violence prevention and awareness building workshops to community organizations and schools.
