How to Get Help

You are not alone, it is not your fault and there are ways to get help.

Leaving abuse is one of the most difficult decisions you can make. Although to some, it may seem like a simple decision, it often involves leaving everything you know for everything you don't.

Where will you go? What will happen to all of your possessions? What about your children? What kind of help is there? Will they understand your situation?

There are so many questions. All you need to do is take the first step; we'll help you with the rest.

At Ernestine's, we can provide the following assistance:

  • Assist you with your immediate needs and long term plans so that you can stop living in fear and start living for yourself;
  • Provide you with shelter and services that will help you reestablish your independence;
  • Provide safety for you and your children; and
  • Help you locate affordable, long-term housing;

You will NOT be deported if you are in an abusive situation but do not have immigration status.

If you are living in an abusive situation, there is help.
