How to Make a Difference

Your donations make a difference to the lives of women and children who find a haven at Ernestine's. Whether it's $20 or $20,000, your gift has an impact on rebuilding lives. At Ernestine's, your donation will be directed to where it's most needed.

Make a donation online through CanadaHelps.org - a safe and secure way to donate online at no cost to Ernestine's.

You can mail cheques to Ernestine's Women's Shelter, P.O. Box 141, Station B, Etobicoke, Ontario M9W 5K9.

Ernestine's also benefits from donations of goods and appreciates your help in providing items to our clients.

Right now we are in great need of non-perishable food items for our food bank. As we have seen an increase in women and children using this service, we have had a difficult time keeping our food bank shelves stocked. Please support us by donating to our food bank.

The following items are always in need at the shelter:

New Items:

• Hygiene products like shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste;

• Non-perishable food for our food bank;

• Fresh food for our kitchen; and

• Cleaning supplies.

Gently Used or New Items

• Household items, like dishes, pots and pans;

• Small household appliances like toasters and microwaves;

• Computers;

At this time, we are not accepting donations of used clothing or toys. Please check back at a later date to see if this has changed.
