In addition to meeting the basic needs of food and shelter, Ernestine's provides:
- Trained staff 7 days a week, 24 hours a day
- A 24-hour emergency telephone crisis line
- A safe and supportive community where women and children can assess their situation and plan for the future
- Support in obtaining welfare & housing.
- A children's program designed to give children a supportive environment where they can express themselves safely
- Crisis intervention, cooperative living facilitation, life skills coaching and outreach support
- When available, court escorts
- Access to cultural interpreters when needed
These services are provided free to residents and ex-residents.
